Novel Mannosylated Synthetic Saponin as Vaccine Adjuvant for Recombinant Japanese Encephalitis Antigen
Abstract
A novel mannosylated trisaccharide based synthetic saponin, bearing a trisaccharide cluster linked to olanaldehyde was used as vaccine adjuvant. The novel saponin glycolipid was found to be nonhemolytic as compared to QS 21. The effectiveness of the synthesized molecule in terms of targeting dendritic cells was confirmed using mannose inhibition assay.
