Copyright & Licensing
Copyright Ownership
Authors retain copyright in their original scholarly work, unless otherwise agreed in writing. ScienceForecast does not claim ownership of the author's original article merely by publishing it. Authors grant ScienceForecast the rights necessary to publish, distribute, display, archive, and make the article available through its journals and online publishing platform, subject to the applicable publishing agreement.
Creative Commons Licence
All published content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) , unless otherwise stated. The licence provides readers with permissions to share and adapt the licensed material subject to the conditions of the licence.
Permitted Use
Under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence, users may share and adapt appropriately licensed material for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author and source, a link to the applicable licence is provided, and any changes are clearly indicated. Adapted material must be distributed under the same licence terms.
Attribution
Any permitted reuse, reproduction, distribution, or adaptation should appropriately acknowledge the original author, article title, journal, and ScienceForecast as the publishing platform, together with the applicable Creative Commons licence. Users should not present reused or adapted material in a manner that suggests endorsement by the original author or ScienceForecast.
Commercial Use
The CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence does not permit commercial use of material covered by the licence. Any use that is not permitted by the applicable licence requires separate authorization from the relevant copyright holder.
Third-Party Material
Articles may contain photographs, figures, tables, datasets, or other material that is owned by third parties. Such material may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions and is not necessarily covered by the Creative Commons licence applied to the article. Third-party material should be identified through the relevant credit or rights information where applicable. Users must obtain permission from the relevant copyright holder when reuse is not permitted under the applicable licence.
Author-Owned Images and Other Material
Where an author owns the copyright in an image, figure, photograph, or other original material included in an article, that material may be covered by the applicable Creative Commons licence unless it is specifically excluded or otherwise stated. Where a proposed use falls outside the permissions granted by the licence, users should contact the relevant copyright holder, including the author where applicable, to request permission.
Copyright Inquiries
Questions concerning copyright, licensing, permissions, or reuse of published material may be directed to the ScienceForecast editorial or publishing office. Requests involving material that is not covered by the applicable Creative Commons licence should identify the article, the specific material concerned, and the intended use.
