Publication Cycle
Publication Cycle
ScienceForecast follows a structured publication cycle designed to guide manuscripts from submission through editorial assessment, peer review, revision, final decision, and publication. Every stage is planned to keep the process clear, consistent, and fair for authors, editors, and reviewers, so that each manuscript moves forward in an organized and timely manner.
Each manuscript is handled through a defined editorial workflow to support efficient processing, appropriate peer review, scholarly quality, and publication integrity. The publication cycle may vary depending on the nature of the manuscript, reviewer feedback, required revisions, and the final editorial decision.
Authors can follow the progress of their manuscripts through the relevant stages of the editorial and publication process. This helps authors stay informed about the current status of their submission, understand what to expect at each step, and respond promptly whenever any input or revision is requested.
Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the ScienceForecast submission system. The submitted files and required information are received by the editorial office for processing.
Initial Editorial Assessment
Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine whether they are appropriate for the journal, fall within its scope, meet basic submission requirements, and are suitable for further consideration.
Reviewer Selection
Manuscripts considered suitable for peer review are assigned to appropriate reviewers based on their subject expertise, research experience, and relevant academic or professional background.
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts proceeding to external review are evaluated through the journal's double-blind peer-review process. Reviewers assess the scientific quality, originality, methodology, clarity, relevance, and overall contribution of the work.
Revision if Required
When revisions are requested, authors are expected to address the reviewer and editorial comments carefully. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or assessed by the editor, depending on the nature of the requested changes.
Final Editorial Decision
Following editorial assessment and peer review, the editor makes the final editorial decision. The manuscript may be accepted, returned for further revision, declined, or subject to another appropriate editorial action.
Production and Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed through the applicable publication and production stages. Final article files are prepared for online publication and assigned the appropriate publication information.
Online Publication
Once the publication process is completed, the article is published online through the ScienceForecast platform and becomes available to readers according to the journal's publication and access policies.
